A collaborative study from the Academic GI Cancer Consortium (AGICC) has been published in The Oncologist, reporting results from a multicenter Phase II trial evaluating FOLFOXIRI plus panitumumab as first-line therapy for patients with left-sided, RAS wild-type metastatic colorectal cancer.
The study demonstrated a 74% objective response rate, 96% disease control rate, and median progression-free survival of 17 months, with the authors reporting response and progression-free survival outcomes among the highest reported in stage IV colon cancer.
The publication represents the collective efforts of AGICC investigators, participating academic cancer centers, and the Criterium team, highlighting the value of the consortium model in advancing multicenter investigator-initiated oncology research from concept through publication.
