Dr. D. Ross Camidge and Dr. Peter Kabos Win University of Colorado Recognition Awards

Dr. Peter Kabos, MD, Associate Professor, Division of Medical Oncology and Dr. D. Ross Camidge, MD, PhD, Professor of Medicine/Oncology were recently honored by the University of Colorado’s Division of Medical Oncology. Dr. Camidge received the inaugural Division Award for Exceptional Clinical Care and Dr. Kabos received the inaugural Division Award for Exceptional Basic Science. Each was nominated by their peers and presented with their awards at a ceremony on May 3rd 2023.

Dr. Camidge is the Director of Thoracic Oncology and holds the Joyce Zeff Chair in Lung Cancer Research at the University of Colorado. His focus is on thoracic malignancies and developmental therapeutics (Phase I studies). He has authored more than 300 articles and reviews in high-profile journals including Journal of Clinical Oncology, Journal of Thoracic Oncology and The New England Journal of Medicine. Dr Camidge is also the director of the Academic Thoracic Oncology Medical Investigators Consortium (ATOMIC), a Criterium Inc. consortium of academic sites and institutions focused on translational clinical research in thoracic cancers.

Dr. Kabos is Associate Professor, Division of Medical Oncology at University of Colorado. His NIH funded laboratory studies steroid hormone biology, tumor microenvironment and cell free DNA in normal physiology and disease. Dr. Kabos serves as the director of the Academic Breast Cancer Consortium (ABRCC), a Criterium Inc. consortium of academic sites and institutions focused on translational clinical research in breast cancer.
